Water has an amazing property of plasticity. Shape-shifting, mysterious, unexpected from the usual angles.
For models, it’s a challenge. It is good if a person can dive, own the body, understand how and where to move. This is art! That is the difficulty, but also a special kind of joy.
For the photographer — an unusual adventure into the world of refracted light, new experiences, quick reactions. Exposing the light is like being in a studio, but not quite like that. The space of the aquarium is limited, the patch from which to shoot is even smaller. Now I realize that having this experience, I can shoot more interesting next time.
The water is warm, but there is a haze throughout the area and moisture literally hangs in the air.
The photography is underwater, but the photographer is behind glass. The viewing window is small, so it takes some time, which of course it doesn’t, to get used to.
Mermaids do exist! At least in our imagination!
I look forward to seeing you for an unusual session.
